Philosophy The French for Fidgets method of teaching has been refined and developed over several years by Lucy Amos. As well as a modern languages degree from Durham University (French, German, Italian) and a primary PGCE from Sussex, Lucy has extensive experience and knowledge of early years best practice; inspired by Maria Montessori and the Reggio Emilia phenomenon she has created a range of resources to enhance early language learning. Lucy has drawn on her cathedral school background and drama training to write a programme of music and role play to add to the fun. The aim of the classes is to make learning French a truly delightful experience. As a parent (and teacher) there is nothing more rewarding than seeing a child really enjoy learning. By putting fun first, children learn to speak without the inhibitions that can really hold back older learners. When you learn a language by far the most important thing is to have a go because this is how you'll start chatting to people in France, where the French experience truly begins...
